In that example the GPS was not turned on. Umm I kinda think its the SIM card or the Diode Array at this point, but I'm just throwing guesses. Can you think of anything hardware related besides those two that could turn the PWR led off when cellular is actived/triggered?

Unfortunately, I have the exact same problem with a SIM7000G... @zac1490, did you find any solution? Is there any chance to get a new SIM 7000 board to try if this is the reason why it's not working?

When I try to run the LTE_DEMO on my SIM7000G module, the power LED is on for about 3 seconds. Then the following is printed in the serial monitor. Then the power LED is off again. I have a 3.7 V LiPo 2000 mAh battery connected, the polarity is correct and also the solder connections between the arduino and the shield are fine. I also had issues fitting the board on a arduino uno r3, so I took an arduino uno instead. I don't know how to move on from here...
