Hi there,
I am using the Sim7000A module and it is working fine, but the time it takes to gain a GPS signal from startup is longer than I was hoping. I have tried to use other antennas, like the one included with the DFRobot Sim808 shield, but so far they have not worked with the Sim7000A. Is there a specific antenna that you would suggest to replace the original one, and that would give me a shorter power up to GPS connection time?
Thanks,

You can try this antenna or use an active GPS antenna (with the "ACTV" jumper on the board soldered) if you're not worried about a constant power draw. That Molex antenna has better performance than the Pulse antenna and can be expected to be included with the next batch of boards.

Awesome! So I can just solder those two vias together and it will transition to an active antenna?
Is there any other set up needed?
